Caught in the Act
The cottonwood trees are taking off
their clothes,
dropping leaf after yellow leaf,
performing a slow striptease
this Sunday morning.
Snow is predicted
on Wednesday but
for now the sun peeps
through a torn petticoat
of clouds.

So great! I love that poetry is coming to the surface during your time there.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your thoughtful reading of "Stacked." It needs so much still...any ideas for a better title? I so appreciate your input.
Ohio misses you,
B.
Bobbi, thanks for checking in. I really really liked "Stacked." It's a keeper and folks are going to wet all over themselves. I hope my comments made sense. I could be all wet, but I always mean well. I kind of like "Stacked." It works on more than one level, besides the most obvious one... like the deck is stacked against you.
ReplyDeleteLove this poem D'Arcy!
ReplyDeleteThank you Sara!
